Description

星云大师主张佛教要走上现代化、人间化、生活化、大众化、国际化，甚至通俗化、本土化，所以弘法的方式一向通俗而具创意。 「通俗性」的佛法平易好懂，却因此让一些人认为人间佛教没有学术深度。大师积极入世，却又引来某些人批评说人间佛教只有实践，没有思想理论。

　　大师说，「人间佛教」并不是他所创新的学说，也不是太虚大师或六祖慧能大师等人所创立；探本究源，人间佛教本是释迦牟尼佛的学说，大师充分弘扬，不但有佛陀的圣言量做为理论依据，而且有具体可行的实践之道。

　　满义法师跟随大师多年，深刻体会大师倡导的人间佛教「解行并重、事理圆融」的特质，是能够引领时代思潮、能够帮助众生圆满生命的「思想学说」。

　　十年前他写了一本《星云模式的人间佛教》，最近又完成新作《星云学说与实践》。大师肯定这本新书对弘扬人间佛教的见微知著，乐见出版，希望可以对当代人心的安定与迷惘的破除，提供些微贡献。
