Description

2010年4月，佛光山开山星云大师慈示印度德里文教中心，成立沙弥学园，以培养印度佛教的弘法人才。

　　于是，中心主任慧显法师不辞远在异乡的辛劳，肩负起培植印度菩提种子的使命；承担了中兴印度佛教的宏大目标；遴选了愿意出家的释迦族男孩，在德里文教中心接受教育。

　　沙弥学园为了让沙弥学子们身体力行，了解佛陀的传法精神、体会大师的布道路程，因而在2017年举办「圣地行脚」活动，从6月21日至7月5日朝礼印度、尼泊尔的佛陀圣地。

　　圣地行脚，让沙弥增广见闻、增上道心，为光大圣地预做准备。在行脚的零碎时间，沙弥们也不忘精进，以非母语的中文记录参访心得，分享参学的感想、修行的检讨，篇篇沁人肺腑、动人心弦。

　　本书亦在每篇篇末附上《大唐西域记》原文，不只可从沙弥们的角度一睹佛陀圣地的现今风貌，更可比较一千四百年前玄奘大师的所见所闻，让我们更能深入印度的人文历史。
