如来之子

在巴西弘法十五载的觉诚法师，秉持佛光山「教育、文化、慈善、弘法」之四大宗旨，以及「给人信心、给人欢喜、给人希望、给人方便」之四大工作信条，在巴西如来寺深耕星云大师所播下的菩提种子，将被喻为「佛法边地」的南美洲，乃至遍地流民的巴西贫民窟，改变为人间净土。

在巴西圣保罗有座庄严宏伟的「如来寺」，寺里认养的孩子，全是贫民窟里失恃、失怙、失养、失教的儿童，其中有跷课不上学的孩子、有抢劫偷窃的嫌犯、有为毒贩跑腿的小羔羊……

如今，这些孩子个个见人就合掌为礼、声声称念「阿弥陀佛」。孩子们都有如巴西的阳光，那么自然、温暖而且有着毫无染着的纯真与热情。他们就是「如来之子」！


Sons  of Tathagata

In Brazil, there is a solemn and magnificent temple called Zu Lai Temple where children who studied in that monastery were abandoned or neglected children lacking in education and unrefined in values living in the slums. Amongst them were children who resorted to pilfering and thieving, falling victims to drug dealers to become mules.

However today, under the influence of Buddhism, these same children join their palms and chant Amitabha when they meet each other. The children are like the Brazilian sun, so naturally warm, full of untainted innocence and enthusiasm.

They, are the sons  of  Tathagata!
